OK, I have lived in the same flat for nine years now, so I really shouldn’t say anything about people not changing and keeping the same habits. But this is sort of amusing and cute.
For more than six years I took the same bus every morning and all the same people got on and off at the exact same bus stops every day. Changing jobs I’m now back on the same bus at the same old time, and guess what? The same people still get on and off at the same buss stops. Yesterday morning some people even nodded and silently greeted me as a sign of recognizing me. God, we really are creatures of habits!
