Pompidou goes East

On of my favourite modern art museums Pompidou Centre in Paris is going to open branch in Shanghai by the end of 2007.

The Paris-based centre, which is Europe's biggest contemporary art museum, told AFP it could confirm that "discussions were very advanced on setting up in Shanghai".

Interesting. Mixing eastern culture with contemporary art could only mean – fascination and cool. Just like the Pompidou.
