According to one biggest bus company in the UK many people are addicted to their cars so they fear and are uncertain of how to use public transportation.
To help out, Stagecoach has published a step-by-step guide to Using the Bus. It begins reassuringly with: "Using the bus could not be easier."The book then tells you all about how to look at the number and destination, buying a ticket, which seats to use and how to press the bell when wanting to get off.
Thereafter, the guide leaves very little to doubt, warning the reader that they should "first of all decide on what bus you need" – just in case they are tempted to start jumping on buses at random.
Very, very obviously one would think, but apparently not. I must be living on the edge a bit then, going on the bus and tram every day...
