How is it possible?

That I still remember German grammar. I have been in Germany for less than 12 hours and my German is more than rusty (it's almost embarrassing...) but I still remember prepositions for accusative and dative. Frau Sollermann, I think that was her name, knew what she was doing when she was banging the pointer in the floor while we reeled in chorus.

Accusative – durch, für, gegen, ohne, um
Dative – aus, ausser, bei, gegenüber, mit, nach, seit, von, zu
